A duo is two coins, not one asset. Their prices, supplies and holders are unrelated, and holding one is no claim on the other. What they share is an identity and a pair of addresses that name each other on chain.

How the two halves are tied together

  1. 1. The Solana mint is a keypair, generated in your browser, so its address exists before anything is signed.
  2. 2. The coin launches here with that address written into its website field, which Pons stores in the token permanently.
  3. 3. Now this coin's address is known, so the Solana coin's metadata is pinned naming it.
  4. 4. The Solana coin is created with that metadata. Each side now names the other, on its own chain, and neither can be edited.
